Our facility is Canada’s only recreated Huron Ouendat village depicting life as it was before the arrival of the Europeans.

All of the Ouendat programs take place in our village, to encourage the use of all senses, ensuring that you and your students get the most out of your day with us.

Please take advantage of the opportunity to explore the interior of the museum as well.

Our museum contains a diverse collection, reflecting the history of  Simcoe County, local marine heritage and military history.

We also feature a room that is devoted to native artifacts that have been recovered during archaeological excavations in the immediate area.

We are located in scenic Little Lake Park in the heart of Midland.

The park is accessible to school groups and features a small playground and a picnic area.

The museum has a gift shop where small snacks may be purchased and during inclement weather our auditorium may be used as a lunch facility.
