The education department at Huronia Museum is in the process of creating another outreach program through the generous funding of the Huronia Communities Foundations. This program will be an adaptation of our Ouendat / Pioneer program, highlighting the importance of museums as a resource to students. This fall it will be offered to grade three classes in Midland as well as Tay and Tiny Townships free of charge. This will be a two-part program consisting of one in class presentation and one follow-up visit or phone call to have the teacher give a one on one evaluation of the program. Our goal is to work with teacher feedback to create another program to become part the 6 outreach programs we currently offer.
If you are a local grade three teacher who would be interested in taking advantage of this free program please contact Gillian or Bryan at 705-526-2844.
